Piano Course Book - A Divisions* These divisions are designed for all Piano Lesson, Performance, and Solo Books, such as Alfred’s Basic Piano Course, Piano Adventures, Bastien Piano Basics etc. Up to 2 pieces of music may be selected (two movements of a sonatina counts as 2 pieces). All selections must be memorized and a clean copy of sheet music must be provided for the adjudicator at the audition. The repertoire must be a solo repertoire. No age limit for competitors A1 Level 1 Books A2 Level 2 Books A3 Level 3 Books A4 Level 4 Books A5 Level 5 and Level 6 Books Piano Course Book Ensemble - B Divisions* These divisions are designed for all Piano Lesson, Performance, and Solo Books, such as Alfred’s Basic Piano Course, Piano Adventures, Bastien Piano Basics etc. Up to 2 pieces of music may be selected (two movements of a sonatina counts as 2 pieces). A clean copy of sheet music for piano must be provided for the adjudicator at the audition. The repertoire must be piano playing + singing (self or other singers), a piano duet, piano playing+other instruments playing, or piano playing + a pre-recorded accompaniment etc. Family and friends are welcome. The additional performers, including the SECONDO in a piano duet would be considered as the associate artist. No age limit for competitors B1 Level 1 Books B2 Level 2 Books B3 Level 3 Books B4 Level 4 Books B5 Level 5 and Level 6 Books Family and Friends Ensemble - C Divisions These divisions are designed for piano ensemble work. Any style of music is welcome. The repertoire must be piano playing + singing (self or other singers), a piano duet, piano playing + other instruments playing, or piano playing + pre-recorded accompaniment etc. Up to 4 mins of music may be performed. The additional performers, including the SECONDO in a piano duet would be considered as the associate artist. No age limit for competitors C1 Classical Music C2 Non-classical Music *For A and B Divisions, the gold medalists from the previews year may not enter the same or lower level divisions. |
